Earlier this year, members of the HVC made their debut in CARNEGIE HALL, New York City. On March 11, 2017, they performed W.A. Mozart’s cherished and famed Requiem, K. 646. Auditioned singers from all over the country came together to rehearse and perform this masterwork under the baton of Dr. Bruce Chamberlain, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Arizona, for Manhattan Concert Productions. Additionally, the New York City Chamber Orchestra and professional vocal soloists were a part of this extremely well-received performance. The standing ovation was much deserved!
The members of our choir who participated put in hours of practice outside of the regular season’s schedule. They proudly represented our entire organization with their musical skill and professionalism during this sophisticated collaboration. We look forward to the possibility of singing in Carnegie Hall again next season!
